Social Media Manager -- Facebook and Instagram

Do you use Facebook and Instagram or other social media platforms? Do you have or desire to gain experience creating eye catching social media reels and posts? The Clark County Nevada Genealogical Society needs a volunteer experienced with social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram, to create attention grabbing media for our educational efforts. Help us grow our social media presence by posting consistently, sharing unique content, and engaging with followers. We’ll provide the expertise on the subject matter and you make it pop and get followers who will help spread the word. Here are the details: We’re looking for someone who can donate 3-5 hours a month attending at least one meeting/program a month and posting to our Facebook and Instagram social media accounts. Our membership meetings take place on the third Saturday of the month (10 AM - 12 PM) at the Paseo Verde Library in Henderson. We also offer a monthly Lunch & Learn session, workshop, or Special Interest Group meeting at the same location. They usually (but not always) take place on the fourth Thursday of the month (12 PM - 2 PM) at the same location. Again, you wouldn’t be asked to attend all meetings and programs. We’d love it if you do but understand that it may not be possible. All we ask is that you attend one per month. · What does the Social Media Manager do? You will handle (almost) everything from creating strategy and writing posts to designing graphics and shooting short videos. We would love to have you provide input on our posting guidelines and create a posting schedule. You won’t be left on your own to sink or swim. You will report to the Board of Directors through the VP of Operations. All board members (and probably some of our members) will be able to assist you with ideas, advice, and encouragement. We are a nonprofit organization founded in 1976 to stimulate interest and provide education in genealogy. The Clark County Nevada Genealogical Society (CCNGS), located in Las Vegas, Nevada, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 1976. Our meetings are held on the 3rd Saturday of the month in the Paseo Verde Library, located at 280 South Green Valley Parkway in Henderson, Nevada. Our meetings and educational programs are free and open to the public.
