Overview: The Volunteer Social Media Specialist will play a crucial role in promoting the mission of Emerald Hills Animal Haven by effectively utilizing social media platforms to connect with our community and raise awareness for our animals. Responsibilities: Create engaging content: Develop and post high-quality content, including photos, videos, and written posts, that showcase our animals and highlight our rescue efforts. Manage social media platforms: Maintain and update our Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok accounts, ensuring they are visually appealing and informative. Engage with the community: Respond to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Collaborate with team members: Work closely with other staff and volunteers to coordinate social media campaigns and ensure consistency in messaging. Track and analyze performance: Monitor social media metrics to measure engagement and identify areas for improvement. Qualifications: Strong understanding of social media platforms, especially Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. Excellent writing and communication skills. Ability to create visually appealing content. Passion for animals and animal welfare. Strong organizational and time management skills. Willingness to volunteer regularly. Additional Skills (Preferred): Experience with graphic design or video editing. Knowledge of social media analytics tools. Benefits: The opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of animals.
