Mission Statement

"Seniors are our Priority. The Mission of the Kelso Senior Center Association is to enhance the quality of life of individuals who have reached the age of 50 and above. To meet this goal various activities and services are available at Catlin Center to help seniors interact with peers and develop friendships."

Description

The Kelso Senior Center Association strives to provide affordable meeting space to the community by manning the Catlin Center Park building at 106 NW 8th in Kelso. Additionally, activities for seniors are created, advertised and encouraged on a daily basis. Regular activities include Bingo Tuesdays, Monday/Thursday Bridge, Pool, Mar Jong, Pinocle and organized speaker programs on a variety of issues.
The members of the Board of Directors are representatives of several clubs that meet at the center: The Columbian Artists, Cowlitz Coin Club, Democratic Woman's Club, Kiwanis of Kelso Longview, Longview Bridge Club, R Square D Square Dance Club and more, including the Grace Truth Church on Sunday.
The center is open on weekends and evenings for bookings for parties, weddings, funerals, etc. for a per hour fee. The center has a library and puzzle center, WiFi and several small meeting rooms for groups with 24 attendees or less, and a large meeting room that allows 100 attendees. A large kitchen is still under development. Outside vendor food offerings are encouraged and there are vending machines on site.
