AccentCare Hospice is seeking compassionate volunteers to help brighten the lives of our patients. Whether you are playing music for our patients, praying with them, providing aromatherapy, visiting with a therapy dog, making supportive phone calls to bereaved families, or sewing memory bears, you can make a difference in the lives of hospice patients. While you are brightening our patients’ lives you might find that your life becomes brighter too! AccentCare Hospice, formerly Seasons Hospice, serve s patients and families in your area. We are currently seeking new volunteers to provide a wide variety of services to our patients and their loved ones. Our direct care volunteers visit with patients wherever they call home to provide companionship and socialization. Loyal Friends Pet Teams bring therapy dogs to visit our patients. Music companions use the power of music to enhance the quality of our patients ’ lives. Spiritual companions share their faith with patients of the same religious background and complement the services of our chaplains. Legacy project volunteers assist patients and families with creating meaningful projects to honor the patients’ life. Vigil volunteers provide supportive presence at the bedside of patients who are actively dying . These are just a few of the ways volunteers in our organization support our patients, families, and staff. Even if you only have a few hours a month to give, we would be honored to have you join our team and support our mission of offering compassionate, personalized hospice care. Training is free and flexible to fit your schedule and you can choose what area you want to serve. Students age 15 and up are encouraged to join us as indirect volunteers or can buddy with another trained volunteer ( teen or adult) to make in-person visits to patients in facilities . We look forward to hearing from you and helping you find ways to share your talents with those at the end of life.

Do you love helping others? Many patients and families have a need for support at the end of life. YOU can provide support to these families in King and Snohomish County through a variety of ways, including through providing general office support, making our weekly Circle of Care calls to families to see if they need any supplies or medications, by making bereavement calls, and/or by sewing memory bears as legacies to leave with families. These are just a few of the many opportunities available. AccentCare Home Hospice has two offices in the area, in Lynnwood and in Renton. We offer a variety of ways to invest in your local community and connect with like-minded people united by a desire to give back. We are looking for volunteers with special skills to help support our patients during this time. Do you have any of the following skills?: Music Companions Reiki Volunteers Massage Therapist volunteers Pet Therapy volunteers End-of-life doulas Vet to Vet Volunteers YOU can provide support to these families in King or Snohomish County through and of these special skills and more.
