The Performing Arts Center of Suffolk County strives to enrich a wide range of communities with quality theatrical experiences through diverse arts, entertainment and educational programs. We endeavor to serve these communities in a fiscally responsible manner, to provide affordable resources to schools and non-profit organizations, and to ensure the future of the theatrical arts in our region.
The Gateway is one of only three professional theaters on LI and remains the oldest of the three. Our legacy of presenting plays and musicals began almost 75 years ago. Because of the longevity and reputation, we are able to attract a high caliber of professional directors, performers, musicians, and technicians from New York City and around the country. The Gateway Theater produces six main stages shows per year, a school for the performing arts and a very popular haunted house.
