Our mission is to provide programs that meet the developmental needs of the whole child, while initiating them into a lifelong relationship with the natural world. We are committed to expanding access to nature-based early education.

We operate nature preschools in Boston, Milton, Malden, Natick, Sherborn, and Sudbury. We also partner with two Boston public schools to provide outdoor education to 75 preK children. We are opening Boston's first free nature preschool at the Franklin Park Zoo in September 2024 through universal prek.

Volunteering at the Boston Outdoor Preschool Network has been an amazing experience! The program's focus on outdoor, nature-based learning is such a breath of fresh air, literally. It's so cool to see how excited the kids get about exploring the outdoors and learning through play. The staff is super supportive and passionate, making it a really welcoming place for both the kids and volunteers. I've loved watching the kids grow more confident and curious as they connect with nature. It's been really rewarding to be part of a community that values outdoor education and helps kids develop a genuine love for the environment. If you're into early childhood education and love being outside, I can't recommend this place enough!
