Mission Statement
At Project Eco, our mission is to cultivate a sustainable environment, one neighborhood at a time. We are driven by the urgent need to combat plastic pollution, which devastates our oceans and marine life--approximately 14 million metric tons of plastic enter our seas each year, claiming the lives of 1 million marine animals annually. The pervasive presence of microplastics also poses serious health risks to humans, contributing to conditions such as cancer and chronic inflammation. Project Eco is committed to bridging the gap between eco-friendly and non-eco-friendly options. Together, we can create a healthier planet for both our oceans and our communities, paving the way for a greener, more sustainable future for generations to come. Join us in making a difference!
Description
At Project Eco, our mission is to cultivate a sustainable environment, one neighborhood at a time. We are driven by the urgent need to combat plastic pollution, which devastates our oceans and marine life-approximately 14 million metric tons of plastic enter our seas each year, claiming the lives of 1 million marine animals annually. The pervasive presence of microplastics also poses serious health risks to humans, contributing to conditions such as cancer and chronic inflammation. We believe that everyone deserves access to eco-friendly alternatives, which is why we source sustainable products directly from manufacturers and offer them at cost. This approach ensures that environmentally responsible choices are accessible to all, regardless of budget. Our dedicated team of student volunteers plays a vital role in distributing these products within their neighborhoods, empowering local customers to take meaningful action in the fight against plastic pollution.Project Eco is committed to bridging the gap between eco-friendly and non-eco-friendly options. Together, we can create a healthier planet for both our oceans and our communities, paving the way for a greener, more sustainable future for generations to come. Join us in making a difference!
