Mission Statement
The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
Description
The Special Olympics program provides children and adults the opportunity to participate and be part of something great, at no charge to them. Everyone of all abilities is welcome!
Special Olympics provides the training, equipment and attire for these children and adults to be able to participate at no charge to them.
We are Special Olympics SuperStarz Cheer and Sparkle Dance teams! St George’s 1 st Special Olympics Cheer and Dance teams! A local unified group that promotes inclusion and acceptance and always welcoming individuals of all ages and abilities who are ready to shine bright!
We need volunteers to work with amazing coaches and athletes to help them learn cheerleading and dance; to prepare them for performances out in the community and build self confidence.
We are looking for those individuals with the passion and commitment to stick with us and become part of the journey and our incredible family!
