Tie Blankets for Patients

M Health Fairview is seeking volunteers to donate materials and assemble fleece tie blankets for patients. Tie blankets are a welcome gift that offer patients a small piece of comfort during a stressful time. Blankets are donated to the Resource Center & Library at the University of MN Medical Center East Bank where they are available to patients for pick up. Blankets should be roughly 62"x 72" and assembled before donated. All supplies including fleece blankets are purchased by volunteers. Thank you!

Activity Kits for Patients

Help support patients at the Fairview East Bank hospital through donating activity kits. Activities help patients stay busy and relieve stress during their stay in the hospital. Hospital volunteers also use games to sit and visit with patients. This is a great opportunity for a company looking to pack kits and give back to the community. Kits should include suggested items below (copy and paste URL into browser to view item) and be packed in Ziploc bags. Kits do not need to include all items. Due to storage, we cannot take more than 60 kits at a time. Completed kits can be delivered to 500 Harvard St SE Mpls, MN 55455. Pillowcases should fit a standard adult sized pillow.

Support Patients and their Families in the Emergency Room

Emergency rooms can be a stressful place for many people . As an integral part of the team , you can bring comfort to patients and their family members by ensuring they have everything they need - warm blankets, pillows, snacks, activities, and other amenities . Additionally, you’ll support staff by transporting patients in wheelchairs, restocking supplies, and turning over rooms between patients. This role is for you if you:  Enjoy working in a highly active department  Thrive on bringing comfort to patients  Like seeing the immediate results of your work through patient satisfaction  Can be self-directed  after being trained No experience necessary!  We will train you on everything you need to know to be successful.
