ABOUT ChromaLearn: Founded in 2023, ChromaLearn is dedicated to empowering underprivileged youth through quality education, fostering growth through guidance and mentorship, and providing exposure to invaluable knowledge and opportunities-all while ensuring everything remains free and accessible. In our first year, we have laid a strong foundation by assembling a team of passionate professionals alongside high school and college students, creating a unique dynamic for making a meaningful impact. We initiated a free online 1-on-1 tutoring with successful high school student tutors. Although we mainly focus on the students in the United States, we have tutored students in other countries as well. Currently, we are developing a blog feature designed to share meaningful lessons and to serve as a database for valuable opportunities that everyone can access. We aim to expand our services and launch helpful programs to change the lives of our future generations. Duties & Projects: Our website currently needs a Senior Web Developer to regularly manage, update, and add new features to it. The current and ongoing projects/tasks would be - Creating a resource page (like a blog post/forum) for anyone to contribute free resources and opportunities free for everyone, including underprivileged youth. Updating & Improving the tutor page by implementing booking features. (Goal: make it super easy and quick to book a session, automatically or manually pair students with tutors) Work closely with UI/UX designers to translate design specifications into high-quality, responsive, and accessible user interfaces. Oversee the website and develop new features on the website for new projects in the future Qualifications & Experience Necessary for the Role: Based in the United States Available to respond to emails/messaging/inquiries within 24 hours Familiarity and/or ability to use Tailwind, Astro, Vercel, GitHub, Astro, Digitalocean for Directus app + database + s3 storage(not configured) + caching(not configured) Directus (for the Content Management System) Should be available to respond to emails/instant messaging within 24 hours; availability on weekends a plus Knowledge of our internal tools/software helpful (i.e. PMS Systems, Slack, Canva Pro, Google Workspace, etc.) Flexible schedule and able to work with team members across USA time zones Volunteer Benefits: We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that is fully run by an unpaid/volunteer staff. Duties & Projects/Responsibilities for our team’s Web Designer(s): Deliverables Expectation(s): (Re)Design a visually engaging, user-friendly website layout in Figma or Adobe Creative Suite Ensure design aligns with our brand and mission Collaborate with our senior software engineer to ensure seamless implementation of the website design Optimize designs for accessibility and inclusivity, ensuring usability for diverse audiences. Duties & Projects: The Chief Financial Officer would oversee the current and ongoing projects/tasks - Fundraising Support: Collaborate with Operations/fundraising team to plan and execute cost-effective campaigns, ensure resource optimization, and support efforts to secure funding. Donation Management: Oversee the tracking, recording, and acknowledgment of donations, ensuring compliance with legal and donor requirements. Work with the CEO and Operations/fundraising team to build donor trust and encourage future contributions. Financial Planning: Develop strategies to balance immediate operational needs with long-term growth goals, ensuring financial stability. Financial Reporting: Regularly prepare and share detailed reports on income, expenses, donations, and cash flow for transparency and informed decision-making. Risk Management: Monitor and address potential financial risks, offering solutions to ensure responsible fund allocation and spending. Treasury Oversight: Manage cash flow, budgets, and other financial functions to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and availability of resources. Budget Monitoring: Ensure sufficient funds are allocated to meet program and operational needs while maintaining ChromaLearn's financial health. Duties & Projects/Key Responsibilities of Social Content Creator/Manager: 1st Tier Needs - Social Media Strategy: Plan and implement strategies to grow ChromaLearn’s presence on platforms like Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, and others. Content Scheduling: Schedule and manage posts to ensure consistent, engaging content is published regularly. Audience Engagement: Respond to comments, messages, and interactions to foster a community and build relationships with supporters. Analytics Tracking: Monitor social media metrics and use insights to improve engagement and performance. Collaboration: Work closely with the Content Creator and Marketing Director to align social media content with campaigns and goals. Trend Awareness: Stay updated on social media trends and adapt strategies to keep content fresh and relevant. 2nd Tier Needs - Content Creation: Design engaging graphics, create videos, and produce other visual content that aligns with ChromaLearn’s branding and mission. Brand Consistency: Ensure all visuals maintain a cohesive look and feel consistent with ChromaLearn’s brand identity. Collaboration: Work with the Social Media Manager and Marketing Director to deliver content tailored to campaigns and goals. Multimedia Production: Editing videos, creating animations, and designing infographics to communicate ChromaLearn’s message effectively. Creative Input: Brainstorm and propose new content ideas to make campaigns more impactful. File Management: Organize and maintain a library of assets for future use. Campaign Execution: Plan and run advertising and promotional campaigns to increase visibility and attract supporters or participants.
