Role Overview Match Support Specialists are an integral part of Linked Mentoring mission to support and empower LGBTQ+ youth and families. The primary purpose of this volunteer position is to assist in the development of trusting, safe, mutually positive relationships between the mentor and mentee. Within this role, the Match Support Specialist will be expected to uphold documentation standards, ensure child safety and wellbeing, and provide resources and guidance to further match development. You will be a part of a team of Match Support Specialists, and work alongside the Director of Mentorship to provide consistent, thorough, and meaningful match support. Passionate and Mission-Driven: You have a real drive to connect, empower and inspire LGBTQ+ youth. You want to create community, belonging and safety. What you’ll do (3-5 hours per month, estimated) Complete initial onboarding and training on Linked Mentoring policies/procedures and match support strategies Communicate regularly with the Director of Mentorship and/or Program Operations Manager on progress, goals, and logistics Support youth-adult match development through monthly virtual check-ins with mentors, mentees, and parents/caregivers to provide guidance, support, and resources as necessary Submit detailed match support notes after each check-in Other, as determined by individual occupying the spot To apply, please submit your resume and brief answers (about 3-5 sentences each) to the below prompts to Jake Sullivan, Director of Mentorship, at jake@linkedmentoring.org.
