Organization Description Hope for Cameroon is a registered apolitical non-governmental organization located in Montreal (Canada) and Douala (Cameroon) that aims to improve the livelihoods of internally displaced persons, particularly women, youth, and children, who are victims of the Anglophone crisis. Our recent initiatives include the Seeding Hope Entrepreneurship Project (SHEP), which aimed to economically empower women through entrepreneurship training, business mentorship programs, and small business loans. This summer 27 participants have received funding and a 100 were trained and received certificates. Upcoming is our Back to School Campaign, which will finance displaced children’s tuition and school supplies for a year. Last year, thanks to our supporters, we were able to fund the education of 100 children and had the joy of seeing them succeed with remarkable grades! Role Description Conceptualize new fundraising ideas Manage the logistics and coordination of fundraising events Coordinate with the social media coordinator to promote the events Occasionally attend events, visit venues & purchase equipment Qualifications of Ideal candidate: Currently enrolled or recently graduated university student in a related field (international development, political science, economics, gender studies, graphic design, marketing and communications...) Event management experience (fundraising experience, a plus) Demonstrated interest in non-profit, humanitarian, or international development work Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work independently Great communication, interpersonal, multitasking, and time management skills Critical thinker and problem-solver

Role Description Research and identify potential grantors. Develop grant proposals and submit applications to potential grantors Create and implement fundraising and development plans for long-term capital campaigns for HfC projects. Develop strategies and write internal recommendations. Write reports and solicit materials for program donors. Produce and provide budget breakdown for grant projects. Set up, monitor and maintain internal grant database system. Qualifications of Ideal candidate: Excellent written and oral communications skills. Versed with various writing styles, document composition, proofreading, and editing. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Photoshop Adept at managing relationships with Hope for Cameroon’s external stakeholders, including convening and facilitating meetings. Natural problem solver and results-oriented Deadline-driven and organized. Proven success in fundraising is a plus! Hope for Cameroon is an equal opportunity recruiter.
