We are a new rescue in search of a Marketing volunteer to help us raise awareness of our rescue as well as increase our donor base. A general description would be the following but we are open to suggestions if the general goal could be achieved. A "Marketing Volunteer" would be responsible for: Key Responsibilities: Content Creation: Develop engaging content for the rescue's website, social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc.) including compelling dog profiles with photos and videos, adoption success stories, and updates on rescue activities. Write compelling copy for newsletters, press releases, and marketing materials highlighting the importance of adoption and the benefits of rescuing a dog. Social Media Management: Strategically schedule posts across various social media platforms to maximize reach and engagement. Run targeted social media campaigns to reach potential adopters and donors. Monitor and respond to comments and messages promptly. Community Outreach: Coordinate and participate in adoption events at local pet stores, community fairs, and other high-traffic locations. Collaborate with local media outlets to promote the rescue through news segments, interviews, and features. Build relationships with local businesses to secure potential partnerships and sponsorships. Email Marketing: Manage email subscriber lists and create targeted email campaigns to promote adoption events, fundraising initiatives, and volunteer opportunities. Fundraising Support: Develop marketing materials and campaigns to encourage donations from individuals and corporate sponsors. Assist with thank you letters to send to those who donate. Assist in planning fundraising events and managing online donation platforms. Required Skills and Qualifications: Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong understanding of social media platforms and marketing strategies Passion for animal welfare and a deep understanding of dog rescue operations Graphic design skills are a plus Ability to work independently and as part of a team

We are a new rescue in hopes of finding a volunteer to get some grants for funding submitting on our behalf. We know there are a lot of opportunities out there to receive funding but need help with getting them submitted. Here are some thoughts for this role but it's up for conversation if we can get some grants submitted. Researching grants: Researching government and non-government grant opportunities Writing grant proposals: Writing grant proposals and supporting documents that meet the funding requirements of the organization Submitting proposals: Submitting proposals to grant coordinators for approval Responding to queries: Responding to internal and external queries about proposals Building relationships: Building relationships with fund providers and other stakeholders Maintaining records: Maintaining records and submitting reports related to grant opportunities Some tips for writing a grant proposal for an animal rescue include: Following the guidelines of the grant application Including the organization's mission statement and goals Explaining how the grant will benefit the organization and the animals Providing a detailed budget Demonstrating the organization's impact and success Submitting the application before the deadline Making the application stand out with a compelling story and measurable impact

Description
We are a rescue located near Rochester, MN that opened in August 2023. We are aiming to create a community that recognizes and prioritizes each dog’s individual needs and well-being through all stages of their life. Our goal is to reduce the number of animals being re-homed, surrendered to shelters, or living in unfair environments.
