LITTLE BRITCHES THERAPEUTIC RIDING INC

Description

Founded in 1979, Little Britchesprovides therapeutic riding and equine-assisted riding. We serve individuals with a variety of disabilities suchas attention deficit disorders, autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, and anxiety disorders. Little Britches is a Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH Intl.) member center. All of our instructors are certified through PATH Intl. Our PATH certified instructors provide Equine Assisted Activities and Therapy to more than 80 riders a week. For those riders who are more physically involved, we provide both physical and occupational therapists as well. Our volunteers are needed to complete our three person riding team of two side walkers and a horse leader, in order to keep our students safe. We are happy to train our new volunteers, no experience is necessary.
Little Britches operates from March thru December. Our 45 minute lessons run from our main location on Tophet Road Farm which is conveniently located near the town lines of Southbury, Woodbury and Roxbury.
