Mission Statement

The Spokane Audubon Society Advocates For Birds And Their Habitats In The Inland Northwest And Connects People With Nature.

Description

Spokane Audubon Society (SAS) is a grassroots environmental organization of members throughout northeast Washington. It is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt non-profit that serves as a local chapter of the National Audubon Society.

Our mission -- advocating for birds and their habitats in the Inland Northwest and connecting people with nature -- is achieved through monthly meetings (September - May) featuring bird and other wildlife issue presentations, year-round field trips, and education and outreach events for both children and adults, coordinating with wildlife rehabilitators to assist our community with found injured or orphaned birds, financial contributions to local habitat acquisition, conservation and management, support for legislation and other efforts to protect birds and other wildlife, and more.
