The League of Women Voters of Denver, a nonpartisan, grassroots organization, has fought since the 1930s to improve our systems of government and impact public policies through education and advocacy. The League is strictly nonpartisan. We neither support nor oppose candidates for office. At the same time, the League is wholeheartedly political and works to influence policy through advocacy. The League: Acts as a force to create positive, lasting change in our community Empowers voters to protect their right to vote Educates citizens and fosters dialogue on pertinent issues - from health care and climate change to openness in government Strives to ensure that all votes are counted and all voices are heard Works to preserve our constitutional rights Partners with others to make democracy work The Co-Chair of of Voter Services oversees and organizes the monthly Voter Service Committee meetings and external events to promote voter education by planning candidate forums, voter registration, and community outreach. Specific responsibilities include: Work closely with the LWVD board to keep everyone informed of best practices for non-partisan event planning as well as volunteer training opportunities Plan, schedule, and conducts candidate forums in Presidential, midterm, and local elections Coordinate monthly Voter Service Committee meetings and take meeting minutes to submit board report Voter registration Community outreach

Specific responsibilities will include: Maintain an up-to-date website Home page promoting upcoming events Coordinate monthly calendar of events with Office Administrator Remove outdated information Provide IT support to members for various meetings and ClubExpress website administration Monthly Board of Directors meeting Monthly briefings - to be recorded and posted to our website and YouTube Annual Meeting ClubExpress Support

The Membership Director focuses on recruitment, engagement and retention of League membership. You are the cheerleader for the League! Prospective Members: the Membership Director will devise strategies for recruitment of new members to the League. We welcome all genders and political affiliations! This may include staffing a vendor table at community events, promoting membership at all League events, or hosting free events for non-members to attend. New Members: this position will welcome new members to the League, connect them with committees, task forces, volunteer opportunities to fit their interests, and host onboarding sessions as needed. Existing Members: the Membership Director will work to retain membership by coordinating welcoming, interactive, and educational communication and events. This may include events such as book club, drinks & dialogue, or one-on-one coffee chats. This position will work closely with the communications director to promote upcoming events to existing members. Expiring Members: this position is responsible for reaching out to members that are due to renew their membership or have let their membership lapse. The goal is to encourage members to renew on time to not lose their status, or show expired members the benefits of what the League offers to encourage them to become a member again. This may include sending out reminders to renew memberships or calling expired members to see why they let their membership lapse. Membership Committee: the Membership Director will maintain a committee of 5-10 Leaguers to support this position. Committees usually meet once a month, virtually or in person, with the exception of a summer break (May-July). Your committee will help brainstorm ideas for recruitment, engagement, and retention of members. On an annual basis, you will review membership communication to ensure accuracy and relevancy. Member communication includes letters going out to expiring members, recruitment packets, new member signup flyers, and website content.

Briefing responsibilities include: Coming up with topics of interest, coordinating with speakers Planning date / time / location Creating content to share with communications team to share on website and social media Committee Meeting responsibilities include: Coordinating date / time / location to meet with internal committee members on a monthly basis Create agendas and take meeting minutes Provide monthly board reports for monthly Board of Directors Meetings Annual Meeting responsibilities include: Selecting date / time / location Determining keynote speaker / topic of interest Create agenda for the event Provide information to communications team to share on website, monthly Voter, weekly Circulator, and social media
