Mission Statement
At CAPS-TC, our mission is to provide crisis support services to Thurston County, WA First Responders, as well as on-scene support/emergency assistance for members of the community. At the direction of First Responders, a cadre of specially trained volunteer Chaplains provide critical incident stress management support, as well as grief and trauma care, crisis response and presence, emotional support, and spiritual encouragement, as requested and appropriate.
Description
In 4 short years CAPS-TC has build a solid foundation for:
- Enhancing crisis support services for first responders and the community, ensuring better and safer assistance.
- Strengthening our organization to meet future service and leadership requirements.
- Cultivating diverse financial backing from individuals and organizations.
Our organization's vision for a sustainable Chaplain public safety service encompasses program coordination with public safety agencies, provision of insurance and safety gear for Chaplains during calls, Chaplain academy education and certification, recruitment efforts, and raising public awareness of our Chaplain program. We are currently an all volunteer organization.
Current volunteer opportunities are for board treasurer, board secretary and a volunteer administrative assistant to support our Chaplain Coordinator
