The Paul Rusk Resource Desk is located in the Lobby of the Dane County Sheriff's Office building and staffed by Volunteers. The purpose of the Desk is to help serve people leaving the jail who may have otherwise been missed by social services due to their short stay/quick turnover. This Resource Desk provides information on community organizations such as re-entry services like local food pantries, homeless services, medication-assistant treatment, BadgerCare/FoodsShare, substance use treatment providers, medical and mental health resources, bus routes, shelters, etc. The Desk also provides seasonal clothing and personal hygiene products.

The Resource Desk also provides a point of good customer service for the Public that come into the building for various reasons such as jail resident support, paperwork needing to be dropped off and general questions.
