CorsoCare Hospice is seeking compassionate, empathetic individuals who are willing to give their time and supportive presence to become Vigil NODA "No One Dies Alone" volunteers. These incredibly special volunteers are asked to provide support to our actively dying patients in facility settings and private homes. This includes sitting by the bedside, providing calming music or supportive presence (conversation/reading/gentle touch) and supporting grieving families at the bedside. Please note: If you are new to hospice or NODA volunteering, as part of your training, you will be asked to serve as a Companion Volunteer for a period of 1-2 months to ensure it is a fit. This is due to the sensitive nature of NODA Volunteering and is subject to Volunteer Coordinator approval. CorsoCare provides all PPE necessary to ensure a safe and enriching experience on every visit. You will also be provided ongoing one-on-one staff support throughout your service with us and will be invited to education opportunities and appreciation events. If you have any questions, or need further information, please contact Nikki Gerber, Volunteer Recruiting Specialist/Administrative Assistant, at (248) 260-8257 or nicole.gerber@corsocare.com. "The last good thing that may happen in a person's life is a hospice volunteer."

This volunteer opportunity is through CorsoCare Hospice & NOT the assisted living facility. Please contact Nikki Gerber, Volunteer Recruiting Specialist/Administrative Assistant via this VolunteerMatch link or at nicole.gerber@corsocare.com or (248) 260-8257. Can you spare an hour for an elderly hospice patient? CorsoCare Hospice is seeking compassionate, empathetic individuals who are willing to give their time and supportive presence by visiting hospice patients in facility settings and occasionally private homes. We have a specific need for a volunteer who can visit on Saturdays to offer companionship and caregiver relief. Our volunteers share their time in many ways and may include reading to the patient, taking a walk, playing cards, watching TV, chatting or some other low-key activity the patient feels up to doing. Sometimes just sitting with them is enough. CorsoCare provides all PPE necessary to ensure a safe and enriching experience on every visit. You will also be provided ongoing one-on-one staff support throughout your service with us and will be invited to education opportunities and appreciation events. If you have any questions, or need further information, please contact Nikki Gerber, Volunteer Administrative Assistant, at (248) 260-8257 or nicole.gerber@corsocare.com.
