The mission of the Lewis County Office for the Aging is to promote the well-being of the older adults of Lewis County through coordinated services that enhance their independence, dignity, and quality of life. NY Connects is a service for people of all ages, any disability, and caregivers. NY Connects can work with anyone who needs information on long term services and supports -- children or adults with disabilities, older adults, family members and caregivers, friends or neighbors, veterans, and helping professionals.

Description

Lewis County Office for the Aging assists with nutrition and nutrition counseling, health insurance counseling, legal referrals, health and wellness programs, in home assistance for personal care, housekeeping, and respite care. We also assist with personal emergency response devices, transportation assistance, referrals for home modifications, along with a variety of programs aimed at combating social isolation and loneliness.
