Mission Statement
Purpose: At a time when the future of planet Earth, home for humans and countless other life forms, is at stake, we are called to a new level of responsibility for the whole community of life. A New Republic of the Heart recognizes the emergence of a more mature orientation to our global predicament--one that courageously accepts our own role in both causing and creatively responding to our collective challenges. Our purpose is to help catalyze a shift from our current crisis of societal fragmentation to a new human culture that expresses wholeness, regenerative action and collaborative alliances rooted in the heart.
Description
A New Republic of the Heart (NRTH) is a nonprofit initiative established in 2019 to support an international community of spiritual practitioners and change agents, united by a commitment to creatively respond to today’s civilizational crises. NRTH serves to empower caring individuals to become engaged global citizens and change agents and to discover more holistic expressions of their work by combining three key areas of practice: the "inner work" of self-awareness and personal transformation; the "interpersonal work" of authentic, compassionate relating; and the "outer work" of collaborative, beneficial action in the world.
NRTH’s offerings integrate insights across human culture - philosophical and spiritual understandings, modern scientific and technological discoveries, world events, and the collective wisdom of community and friendships. We convene courageous public conversations, provide educational experiences, facilitate a community of practice, and cultivate collaborative alliances across communities.
We believe our work helps to catalyze an evolutionary shift in human culture that can heal societal fragmentations and inspire a new pattern of collective citizenship in the only world we share.
