Mission Statement
Protect Students Abroad began in 2014, became a 501(c)(3) in 2017. PSA focuses on one goal: transparent comprehensive education abroad safety data--deaths, illnesses and injuries requiring hospitalization, sexual assaults, and events that generate a police report. This single-minded focus stems from the belief that: (1) Students and parents making educational decisions should have a right to safety information, and (2) Since high quality data is the basis of all fatality prevention, the education abroad industry should want this, too.
Description
Protect Students Abroad believes in better education abroad through the science of safety. PSA provides information learned in the aftermath of our children’s death that will help informed their decision making; one that we were not able to make. PSA educates, advocates and informs decision making for a safer study abroad.
