The American Heart Association is a community of individuals who envision a world free of heart disease and stroke. Our goal is to reduce death and risk from heart disease and stroke by 25% by 2010. Everyday, the American Heart Association works hard to keep our community safe from heart disease and stroke by advancing groundbreaking science through research, improving the quality of healthcare, supporting legislative and policy efforts, promoting physical activity in children and adults and educating the public and healthcare providers.
