Oversee the organization of Google Workspace, including the management of Google Chat and Spaces, to ensure effective communication and collaboration. Description The Steven Spectrum Career Project is looking for passionate community leaders to join its very first nonprofit Board of Directors. Board Members will have the opportunity to shape and advise Steven Spectrum as we forge pathways to employment for individuals across the neurodiverse spectrum. Steven Spectrum is based in New York City and is looking for Board Members across various backgrounds and expertise. About Us At The Steven Spectrum Career Project, we embrace the richness of diversity and the transformative force of inclusion. Our mission is clear and impactful - to close the divide and forge pathways to employment for individuals across the neurodiverse spectrum. We equip members of the neurodivergent community with essential skills, comprehensive training, and unwavering support, empowering them to thrive in professional settings. Through our dedicated programs and initiatives, we are committed to dismantling barriers and reshaping perceptions surrounding neurodiversity. About Our Board We are looking for individuals with relevant interest or experience to fill the following Board Member positions: Nonprofit Management Chair: Use prior nonprofit or board experience to guide governance and organizational effectiveness. Fundraising Chair: Develop and lead organizational fundraising strategy. Legal Advisor: Provide legal guidance and strategy aligned to our mission. Program Development Chair: Guide the development and evaluation of our career readiness programs. Workforce Development Advisor: Use workforce development knowledge and/or experience to advise on programming and corporate partnership strategy. Mental Health Advisor: Use mental health education and/or experience to ensure appropriate integration of mental health knowledge throughout the organization Participation Requirements Board members should expect to spend 6-8 hours per month on Board Member commitments. This time will include quarterly in-person Board meetings, two monthly committee meetings, and other relevant tasks in support of duties. Board members are expected to contribute an annual monetary gift to Steven Spectrum at an amount meaningful to them, which can be a combination of personal donation and personal fundraising efforts. They are also expected to engage in broader fundraising efforts. Board members will be nominated for a 2-year term and be eligible for reappointment for two additional terms.
