Mission Statement
Our mission is to help disadvantaged youth in Venezuela and in the State of Pennsylvania by providing them with the opportunity to have access to education, be involved in athletic activities, and receive other resources and support that will guide them to live a positive and productive life.
Description
In its first year, Del Carmen provided sports equipment for 60 school children, 100 backpacks with school supplies, 500 gifts for the holidays, and clothing and shoes for hundreds of children. In addition, we visited an orphanage to feed 150 children. In total, there were 1,125 beneficiaries in 2022. So far in 2023, Del Carmen Foundation has helped 3,000 underprivileged youth. Today, DCF is working to expand its program reach from providing physical resources that support student’s success to improving educational practices and systems to help keep students engaged in school, build valuable life skills, and improve their long term life outcomes.
