Interim Hospice is looking for Therapy Dog Handlers and their certified therapy dogs to visit patients. We recognize the unique ability that dogs hold in assisting hospice patients, especially patients who have had dogs in the past but no longer have a dog in the home. Therapy dogs bring smiles and joy to the patients they serve. It would be our honor to work alongside of you to provide this service to those at the end-of-life. Interim Healthcare Hospice if proud to be a member of the We Honor Veterans Program as a level 3 participant. We Honor Veterans is a National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization program that has collaborated with the Department of Veteran Affairs to recognize the uniqueness and value of our nations veterans at the end of life. The goal is to assist the veteran in having a peaceful and dignified end-of-life. This can be done by providing patient with camaraderie or pinning ceremonies. Although anyone can volunteer with Interim Hospice, this post is specifically looking for veteran volunteers who are able to connect with our veteran patients. Our hospice covers more than the FCoshocton County! We have patients that can be connected from 8 different counties and we will work within the location of your choice.
