Do you enjoying interacting with others? Our Franciscan Health Olympia Fields’ volunteers help hospital personnel deliver quality healthcare by assisting with non-medical tasks. As a Courtesy Cart Volunteer, you have the opportunity to connect with patients around the hospital when offering items from the courtesy cart. You’re not only delivering items from the courtesy cart, but you are also delivering smiles, comfort, and a listening ear. Volunteer Requirements: · Minimum age of 16 at the time of application. · Pass the Health Screening. · Able and willing to dedicate a minimum of 50 hours of volunteer service in a 6 month period of time. · Volunteer 4 hours per week. · Pass a background check. Benefits: · Annual Volunteer Appreciation Event · $5 Voucher per shift · Free Flu Vaccine · 30% discount in the Crawford Cottage gift shop · No enrollment fee at Franciscan Fitness Center and $30/ month membership · Participate in Hospital Events

Our Food & Nutrition volunteers use their organization skills to keep kitchen items stocked, help assemble orders, and maintain eating areas. Volunteer Requirements: · Minimum age of 16 at the time of application. · Pass the Health Screening. · Able and willing to dedicate a minimum of 50 hours of volunteer service in a 6 month period of time. · Volunteer 4 hours per week. · Pass a background check. Join our compassionate team by welcoming patients and guest who enter the hospital.Wayfinder volunteers are more than greeters, they can be healers by alleviating someone’s anxiety, fear, and confusion when assisting them to their destination via walking/wheelchair, or by guiding them to the right department. Value of volunteers is essential in our community. With the help of volunteers, we’re able to make a positive change and make a real difference in the lives of those we serve. The ED Volunteers at Franciscan Health Olympia Fields offer aid to the ED staff, patients and families by providing non-medical support such as stocking shelves, assembling patient packets, clerical tasks, and providing a caring and comforting atmosphere for patients and families.
