Mission Statement

We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit inclusive dance studio in Richmond, VA, designed to empower the special needs community. Our mission is to "provide quality dance instruction to people with special needs while promoting awareness in the community through the joy of dancing!" We provide our dancers with specialized dance classes, social opportunities, and performance experiences; our volunteer program offers hands-on training, promotes an inclusive atmosphere, and creates lifelong friendships that break the boundaries between the typical and special needs communities. Description

Miracles in Motion was founded in 2007 by Kim Moncrief, after the birth of her son Logan who was born with Down Syndrome. As a professional dancer, Kim realized there wouldn’t be a place for Logan in the dance world. In 2007, she founded Miracles in Motion. MIM now provides an array of inclusive classes, performance opportunities and hands on work experience to over 100 dancers with special needs & 100 volunteers annually.

Our volunteer program provides top notch experience working with the special needs community. Our volunteers are ages 11-adult. Dance experience not required. Whether you are seeking a career with the differently abled, need volunteer hours or just want to help an individual in need....MIM has a place for you!

Miracles in Motion is internationally recognized, making leaps and bounds with its innovative style and powerful reputation. Our studio provides a lifetime opportunity for our students to grow in their physical condition, self-confidence & much more. When you meet a MIM dancer, you know it.
