FoCo Trash Mob is a non-profit organization affiliated with several other non-profits: Beyond Plastics, Break Free From Plastics, Upstream Solutions and 5 Gyres Ambassadors. Our focus is to address the Single Use Plastic Pollution Crisis in advocacy work as well as offering actionable solutions in educating and engaging the public to Reduce, Reuse, and "Return to Offender" with the goal of holding corporations accountable.
This group was started after the founder worked for 12 years in Waste Reduction and Recycling and saw the disturbing upward spike of non-recyclable SUPs during that timeframe. Two Team members educate about SUPs Pollution through virtual and in-person presentations. One is a graduate of the Beyond Plastics Speakers Bureau and the other is a TRUE advisor. Our campaigns are for anyone or any group to take and repeat as direct actions - we don't want people to feel helpless or that they have to reinvent the wheel.
