Description
In looking towards the future of Travelers Aid Birmingham, we are guided by the reasons Travelers Aid was established over one century ago by the Birmingham YWCA, that being simply to provide help to travelers in times of crisis. We exist to ensure that people in transit, be it local, intrastate, or interstate, receive assistance when and where it is needed. Those needs have remained relatively unchanged over the decades and continue to be present in current times. By looking within the local community, we can easily identify unmet needs that burden the elderly, disabled, and displaced people who comprise our target population. Traveler Aid Birmingham is positioned to adapt and adopt services to better serve those needs.
