About Us: Public Broadcasting Music Television (PBMTV) provides an ongoing and commercial-free audio/video broadcast platform for artists from all cultures to virtually share their art to an international audience. The PBMTV platform is international community-driven programming that includes visual art, music, live stream events, education, comedy, drama, embodiment practices, healing workshops, experiential learning, and more. Our vast database of content is streamed around the world directly from live events, artists, DJs, performers, and other live-stream content providers. Why Volunteer with Us? Roles and Responsibilities The Executive Director plays a crucial leadership role at PBMTV, responsible for overseeing our day-to-day operations and long-term strategic direction. Core functions include: Strategic Planning: Responsible for developing and implementing PBMTV's strategic plan. Work with the board of directors to set goals and objectives, and establish a roadmap for achieving those goals. Leadership and Management: Provide leadership to the staff, volunteers, and often collaborate with the board of directors, including hiring, training, and managing staff, setting performance expectations, and fostering a positive and productive work culture. Fundraising and Financial Management: Responsible for fundraising efforts, which can include grant writing, donor cultivation, and developing fundraising strategies. Manage the organization's budget, financial planning, and ensure fiscal responsibility. Program Development and Implementation: Oversee the design, development, and execution of programs and services that align with PBMTV’s mission, including assessing program effectiveness and making necessary improvements. Community and Stakeholder Relations: Serve as the public face of the organization, building and maintaining relationships with donors, partners, artists, and the community. Advocacy and Public Relations: Advocate for PBMTV’s causes and raise awareness about critical issues. Handle media relations and public relations efforts. Compliance and Legal Matters: Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations is essential. The Executive Director needs to have a solid understanding of nonprofit law, tax-exempt status, and reporting requirements. Evaluation and Impact Assessment: Assess the effectiveness of PBMTV's programs and services by measuring outcomes and impact. This information helps in making data-driven decisions and improving the PBMTV's performance. Risk Management: Identify and manage potential risks and challenges that could impact the PBMTV's operations, financial stability, or reputation. Long-Term Sustainability: Responsible for ensuring the long-term sustainability of PBMTV by developing and executing strategies for growth, diversifying funding sources, and managing resources efficiently. Role and Responsibility: The Grant Writer is focused on securing funding through grants from various sources, such as government agencies, private foundations, corporations, and other grant-making entities. Your responsibility is to research, write, and manage grant proposals to secure financial support for PBMTV's programs and initiatives. A successful Grant Writer plays a pivotal role in ensuring PBMTV's financial stability and our ability to fulfill our mission. The best applicant will be an excellent writer, researcher, and communicator, as well as skilled at building relationships and managing complex grant application processes. Core functions include: Grant Research: Conduct comprehensive research to identify potential grant opportunities that align with PBMTV’s mission and goals, including identifying grantors, reviewing their guidelines, and assessing their funding priorities. Proposal Writing: Prepare persuasive and well-structured grant proposals that effectively communicate PBMTV's objectives, strategies, and the impact of our programs. Budget Development: Collaborate with program managers and finance personnel to create detailed and accurate budgets for grant proposals. The budget should align with the proposed project and reflect PBMTV's financial needs. Grant Submission : Ensure that grant applications are submitted before the specified deadlines and meet all submission requirements, including necessary documents, attachments, and signatures. Relationship Building: Establish and maintain positive relationships with grant-making organizations and program officers. Cultivate connections within the grant community to stay informed about new opportunities and trends. Grant Calendar Management: Maintain a grant calendar to track upcoming grant deadlines, report due dates, and renewal opportunities. This helps PBMTV stay organized and ensures timely submissions. Grant Strategy: Develop a grant-seeking strategy that aligns with PBMTV's short-term and long-term funding needs.
