Living with ALS makes daily tasks more challenging and to make life a little easier, we created the Helping Hands Volunteer Program. Right now, there are some unique opportunities to help People living with ALS through this program in Scappoose, OR. Can you help? VOLUNTEER TASKS: We are looking for a volunteer(s) in/or around Scappoose, OR who is available on a regular & ongoing basis to support a Person living with ALS with cleaning, household chores, laundry, organizing, pet care, and companionship. TRAINING: You do not need to have prior knowledge or experience to volunteer in this role. When you enlist as an ALS Helping Hands volunteer, we will coordinate an orientation session and additional training with you before you begin your volunteer service. The orientation will cover what ALS is, information about ALS Northwest, what to expect, best volunteering practices, volunteer policies, as well as answering any questions you might have. The orientation is virtual (zoom) or in person and runs about an hour and fifteen minutes. Ready to help?
