Mission Statement

Our amazing organization, Colorado Bullies & More Rescue in Rye, CO, is a small but dedicated rescue and shelter founded in 2018 by Haley Perrin with a clear mission in mind: To provide a sanctuary environment for Pitbull breed type dogs that have been abandoned, neglected, or abused, giving them a second chance at life and the opportunity to find their forever home. We know and understand that Pitbull breed dogs face various challenges & prejudices that can make it difficult for them to find loving homes. And that's why we are committed to spreading education and awareness about the breed. We're deeply committed to providing the best medical care, training, socialization, and more to give them the best chance at finding their forever homes! Keeping our dogs safe, happy, and healthy while they wait to be placed in a forever home. We were recently joined by Danielle York as Vice President and COO of Colorado Bullies & More Rescue.

Description

Unfortunately, what we have experienced in the past is volunteers flaking out on their shifts, being unreliable and, just untrustworthy. As you know shelters and rescues rely heavily on their volunteers to make this dream work! We will be starting a new volunteer program that will include more specific stipulations as to committing to at least two shifts a week. We will also be running training and coaching classes to make sure all volunteers are fully informed of how to handle potential situations that may come up with the dogs, as well as how to handle bully breeds properly!
