Description
Project WHY is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Orange County, CA that provides our unhoused neighbors a platform to use their voices and share their stories. Founder and CEO, Arielle Zappia interviews unhoused neighbors and publishes their stories on Project WHY's website. Project WHY provides individuals experiencing homelessness with a safe space to feel heard and educates the community on homelessness through those experiencing it. Along with individual stories, Project WHY's website hosts resource analyses that summarize the key points of other available resources, making finding help easier than ever for those in need.
Project WHY has expanded into The Project WHY Podcast (available on all streaming platforms). Each episode features an expert in the field and focuses on a pressing topic surrounding homelessness.
Unhoused & Unheard, Arielle Zappia's book encompassing Project WHY's mission, is also coming out shortly. It features 13 individual stories, resource analyses, quotes from experts in the field, and Arielle Zappia's insights from being a leader in the field.
