Mission Statement

Community Children's Center works to close the gap in affordable, available, and accessible high-quality early childhood care in Douglas County. The Community Children’s Center strengthens the Douglas County early childhood community by providing resources, support, and education for families and early childhood care professionals. As a Family Resource Center, we offer an Early Childhood Clothing Closet, Grow & Go playgroups, and the TYKES Online Parent Resource Hub. We are developing two high-quality, Lawrence-based childcare spaces at 4640 W 27th St. and 346 Maine St. in 2024-2025.
