Mission Statement
About CPFA: Concerned Persons For Adoption (CPFA) is a non-profit organization in the State of New Jersey dedicated to the belief that every child deserves a family. CPFA was founded over 50 years ago. CPFA is not an adoption agency but an all-volunteer organization working to support those who wish to adopt and to provide educational and networking resources to those who have adopted.
Description
Are you an adoptive parent, an adopted person, and/or a professional interested in adoption, foster care, and/or kinship care? CPFA needs your help.
We seek volunteers to help coordinate, run, and facilitate various social events, discussion groups, and yearly conferences. It’s a great way to foster relationships, have your children meet with other adopted children, and for parents to meet and grow from each other’s experiences.
As an educational entity, our history is long and impressive. Our large annual "Let’s Talk Adoption" SM Conference of parents and professionals has gained a national reputation for excellence. Our smaller Family Mini Conference includes workshops for children and has quickly become very popular. These conferences, social events, adoption book clubs, and periodic "Can We Talk?" virtual discussions continue to fulfill our mission to educate and support families pre- and post-adoption.
As the adoption world continues to become more complex, most of us have found that locating sources of information and support has significantly contributed to the success of our adoptions. We at CPFA are eager to share our successes and offer others our support, experiences, knowledge, and friendship.
Please accept our sincerest invitation to join us.
