Mission Statement
Each Monday night we offer hot meals are prepared from fresh ingredients, packaged, and distributed with a healthy dose of love and respect for all persons. We also partner with the Gotham Food Pantry to distribute pantry staples and fresh produce. We live our Unitarian Universalist principles, especially our belief in the inherent worth and dignity of all persons, and our belief in justice, equity and compassion in human relations.
Description
Monday Night Hospitality has been in continuous operation since 1981. Our dedicated teams of volunteers cook, package and distribute 400+ meals each week. A typical meal includes a protein (chicken or a vegan option), pasta or rice, and a vegetable. Meal bags include the packaged hot meal along with water, fruit, bread, and a dessert.
We offer meals to take away, and have returned to offering seated, restaurant-style meals in our spacious hall and served by volunteers.
