We are looking for individuals and groups to donate items for patients. Elara is in search for artist that can paint and/or draw portraits. In order to give families a forever lasting hand-crafted picture of their loved ones. This can all be done in the comfort of your home or studio and can be done according to your schedule. If you love to sing or play an instrument, you can share music with a hospice patient in a local nursing facility or patient’s home. This opportunity is especially appealing to music lovers and music therapy students. Listen to Music Play an instrument. Sing hymns or the patient's favorite tune! Chat about all things MUSIC And providing emotional support for a patient as they navigate hospice care Hours are very flexible! You can choose from weekdays, evenings, and weekends. Holding Hands Forever Make a real difference in someone’s life! Elara Caring, one of the nation’s largest providers of home-based care, is looking for compassionate volunteers willing to donate their time to provide exceptional end-of-life care to local hospice patients and their families. At end-of-life, many hospice patients are uncomfortable having their photos taken. They want their loved ones to remember them in earlier years, not what they looked like in their later life stages. Because many families still want to capture moments with their loved ones at end of life, Elara Caring created the Holding Hands Forever program. This program, which gives families a portrait of their own hands holding the hands of their loved ones, is a beautiful and dignified way to commemorate those last memories in a positive light.
