YES 2 YOU is a nonprofit organization seeking committed, diverse, and experienced volunteer Board members to guide the organization and support its growth. Board members will work collaboratively to shape policies and strategy for YES 2 YOU’s future, and provide direction and counsel for YES 2 YOU leadership. YES 2 YOU is dedicated to empowering underserved youth and enriching the lives of seniors through transformative STEAM education and activities. Our mission is to provide high-quality STEAM learning experiences that integrate social and emotional learning for youth, and to offer intellectually stimulating activities for seniors that foster cognitive health and social connections. We believe in the potential of every individual and strive to empower them through education and engagement. We are committed to creating accessible opportunities for all, regardless of background or circumstance. We value the strength of community and seek to build meaningful connections through our programs. We embrace creativity and forward-thinking approaches to enhance learning and well-being. At this time, we are especially seeking volunteers with or without previous nonprofit board experience, those with professional expertise in the fields of Information Technology, Human Resources, Marketing, and/or Finance. Board members do not need to be based in San Antonio, TX. What does the Board of Directors do? YES 2 YOU’s Board are volunteers who share their expertise, influence, knowledge, and resources to secure a strong future for the organization. Board members come from a wide range of personal and professional backgrounds. The Board is responsible for managing and setting long term priorities, as well as overseeing and advising the Executive Director, who is responsible for YES 2 YOU's day-to-day management. The relationship between each Board member and YES 2 YOU is of critical importance and supports the administrative, fundraising, financial, and strategic functions of the organization. Board members are stewards of YES 2 YOU’s mission, promoters of the work, and champions of the cause. Board members leverage connections and networks to bring additional resources to the organization.

Our aim is to combine instructor-led classes and hands-on learning activities with community-centered partnerships, and interactive STEM & STEAM learning all while identifying and potentially eliminating barriers. Position Description: As a Volunteer Grant Writer, you will play a crucial role in helping us secure funding for our projects and programs by researching potential grant opportunities and crafting persuasive grant proposals. Your responsibilities will include: Researching and identifying potential grant opportunities that align with our organization's mission and goals. Writing and editing grant proposals, ensuring they are compelling, accurate, and meet all requirements. Collaborating with our team to gather necessary information and data for grant applications. Tracking deadlines and submitting grant proposals in a timely manner. Maintaining records of grant applications, awards, and reporting requirements. Requirements: Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively. Strong research skills and the ability to identify relevant grant opportunities. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management abilities. Experience with grant writing or proposal writing is preferred but not required. Commitment to the mission and values of YES 2 YOU. Yes 2 You is a 501(c)(3) non-profit whose mission is dedicated to empower youth and to help build their imaginations and creative minds, develop social skills, and create their authentic voice. We provide STEAM-based programs to youth in under-served communities. Yes 2 You proudly serves youth located in San Antonio and the surrounding areas. Bring your boldest self to empower youth to discover their inherent strengths and help them with making informed decisions while having fun. In-class volunteers will assist in facilitating after-school programs and services for our students. All of our programs and services are centered around technology concepts. Technical and non-technical volunteers are welcome! The weekly activities will be held once or twice a week from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm, 1 to 2 hours a day. To volunteer with Yes 2 You, volunteers will be required to complete an application on our website and schedule a Zoom Orientation to learn about our mission, volunteer opportunity, and review volunteer requirements. Yes 2 You 501c3 nonprofit organization is looking to fill the treasurer role on our board of directors. This is an opportunity for anyone with a passion for giving back to the youth in the community and and/or supporting educational programs. We are looking for a Treasurer to join our Board of Directors. Board of Directors members play a critical role in maintaining the health of the nonprofit organization by providing input, making connections with other organizations, and ensuring we are operating in a manner that is legal, ethical, aligned with the organization's goals, and financially sustainable. Anyone aligned with our mission and values is welcome to apply. No previous board experience is needed. Position Responsibilities: 1. Board Treasurer - Performs general board member duties; informs and guides accounting/finance/fiscal duties of the board; non-profit experience preferred but not required. Oversee the financial management of the organization, including budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Work closely with the Executive Director and Finance Committee to develop and monitor the annual budget and financial policies. Provide regular financial updates to the Board of Directors and ensure transparency in financial matters. Serve as a liaison between the Board and external auditors, ensuring the completion of annual audits and reviews. Collaborate with other board members and staff to develop and implement strategies for financial sustainability and growth Qualifications: Previous experience in financial management, accounting, or related field. Strong understanding of nonprofit finance, including budgeting, financial reporting, and internal controls. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
