Ivy Creek Hospice Dadeville is seeking Certified Pet Therapist Volunteers to join our Volunteer Team. Therapist must be certified, provide copy of certification, copy of therapy dog vaccine records and liability insurance. Therapist will receive free Hospice Orientation and Training. Pet Therapy will be a wonderful addition for our patients who may be missing a pet from having to give one up due to illness or simply missing a pet that has crossed over the rainbow bridge.

Lawncare Volunteers needed to help Hospice patients with light yardwork. Some of our patients do not have family able to help and are physically unable to do the work themselves. Flexible scheduling! Volunteers determine their availability. Some patients will have their own equipment and others will need you to bring your own if possible. We are not looking for full service lawncare, just helping keep their yards tidy and safe.

Ivy Creek Hospice is seeking Food Ministry Volunteers to help our Hospice patients that are unable to meet their own food needs. If you like to cook or belong to a group that frequently has leftovers to give to the community please consider being part of our Volunteer team. You simply let us know when you want to drop off meals that we freeze and distribute to families as needed or we are happy to pick them up! Flexible scheduling! No minimum amount of donated food or time required!

Ivy Creek Hospice Dadeville is seeking applicants for our Volunteer Program! Patient Volunteers provide companionship to patients and/or caregiver respite visits (to allow family a much needed break to run errands, etc.) This is an important and much appreciated service for patients who may not have many visitors or family that may not have much help. As a Veteran Volunteer you may visits with Veteran hospice patients who often want to talk with another Veteran, share their Military stories and hear yours! You can also assist staff in honoring our Veteran Hospice patients by partcipating in pinning ceremonies and educating staff and the community on Veteran related topics. Ivy Creek Hospice's mission is to provide the terminally ill patient and their loved ones with the support and care they require to live their lives comfortably. Our Hospice Team strives to enable the patient and family to maintain their dignity and quality of life. Our goal is to help the patient achieve physical, emotional and spiritual comfort. We strive to empower the patient and/or family by providing them with the tools, information, and support they need to make decisions. We provide ongoing support for family and friends for up to at least one year following the death of their loved one. We believe that Hospice care should be available to any and all persons with an illness for which there is no cure and a limited life expectancy.
