Mission Statement
Our Vision: REMEMBER. INSPIRE. CONNECT. EDUCATE. Through our members, volunteers, and donations we honor the service and history of the USS Yorktown and her veterans. The Association has three charitable goals: perpetuating the U.S.S.YORKTOWN CV-10 as the National Memorial to Carrier Aviation; memorialize those who have served and who are currently serving in the United States Navy and Marine Corps; and educating and inspiring future generations.
Description
The USS Yorktown CV-10 Association was founded in 1948 by veterans who served on the ship during World War II.
Today, this group of dedicated members includes veterans who served on the ship throughout her history and the family members of these veterans. This lineage and legacy of service is what we're about.
To us, the USS Yorktown is more than a tourist attraction. It's our second home - where we reunite every year to remember and recount stories of friendship, courage and sacrifice. And it is where we share the history of the USS Yorktown and her veterans with hundreds of thousands of visitors throughout the year.
