Position Overview: Creshendo is seeking a detail-oriented pro bono Grant Writer and Researcher to support our mission by identifying grant opportunities and writing compelling grant proposals. In this role, you will work closely with the founder and the board to research potential funding sources, develop grant applications, and ensure the financial sustainability of our programs. Key Responsibilities: - Research and identify grant opportunities that align with Creshendo’s mission and goals. - Write and edit compelling grant proposals that meet funders’ requirements. - Prepare supporting documents, budgets, and other attachments for grant applications. - Maintain accurate records of grant applications, deadlines, and communications. - Collaborate with the team to ensure grant proposals align with organizational needs. - Communicate with grantors and funding organizations as needed. - Stay updated on trends and opportunities in nonprofit grant-seeking. Qualifications: - 5 years of experience in grant writing and research (preferred). - Proven ability to craft persuasive grant proposals. - Strong research, writing, and organizational skills. - Familiarity with nonprofit grant-seeking and fundraising principles. - Commitment to 10-15 hours per week. Working closely with our dynamic fundraising team, you will be instrumental in researching, drafting, and submitting grant proposals to various foundations, organizations, and government agencies. Our 501(c)(3) status is currently pending and can be approved any second. We're therefore looking for someone who can research relevant grants, get our organization on certain grant platforms, and prepare mock drafts so that we can submit grant applications as soon as we're registered.
