Mission Statement
Mission. It is the mission of Brooklyn Public Library to ensure the preservation and transmission of society's knowledge, history and culture, and to provide the people of Brooklyn with free and open access to information for education, recreation and reference. Brooklyn Public Library Adult Learning Centers provide free innovative educational programs for adult learners and speakers of other languages. Through books, technology and interactive classroom instruction taught by professional and friendly instructors and tutors, adults build the skills needed to meet their personal, educational and employment goals.
Description
Groups and classes are for participants 17 years and older who are functioning below the high school level. Emphasis is on reading, writing, and HSE preparation. All programs and classes are available mornings, afternoons, evenings and Saturdays.
