Mission Statement

The Left-Hand Outdoor Challenge (LHOC) aims to inspire youth engagement and connectivity through various challenging experiences to foster outdoor adventure, education, stewardship, and leadership. LHOC is committed to offering an adapted and flexible program that emphasizes service, community, life experiences and inclusion. As participants explore natural resource careers, build concrete outdoor and leadership skills, they’ll never miss an opportunity to celebrate their resilience and individuality. This program will continue challenging barriers to the outdoors to support diversity in natural resource field in hopes of igniting lifelong connections with BCPOS and their partnering organizations.
