This position assists the Program & Audio Manager with our youth music education programming. Responsibilities Assist in the set up and arrangement of studio and equipment before classes and sessions. Assist in lesson preparation for classes. Help organize class lesson materials and resources. Help with administrative duties such as attendance tracking and record keeping. Support students with class material as needed. Assist with miscellaneous tasks as needed. Requirements Punctuality: arrive on time. Must be available on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2-5pm in Burnsville. Strong communication skills with team members Positive attitude and demeanor Enjoy being in a recording studio environment Professionalism with students, musicians, guests and team members Knowledge of studio equipment and software used in music recording and production; helpful but not required Previous music venue work; helpful but not required First aid experience; helpful but not required Benefits Learn about music industry Hands-on experience in music education and studio operations. Exposure to professional recording studio equipment and software. Mentoring and guidance from experienced studio engineers and educators. Seeking photographers who want to build their live music portfolio and help support a non-profit’s marketing! Photograph concerts and provide images to the Marketing Manager. Catalyst can use these photos for social media, website, other relevant marketing materials, and merchandise with credit where possible. Duties and Responsibilities Take photos at concerts Send final images to Marketing Manager within a week Skills Required Photography skills Google Drive experience Training Training and support available from Marketing Manager as needed Time Commitment: Each show is typically 2-4 hours long, on Wednesday-Sunday nights. Spend as much time as you need at each show to get the photos, and as much time editing as you see fit. Ideally you can commit to at least one show a month. Since 2015, Catalyst has presented over 500 live performances for a collective audience of more than 50,000 individuals while working with over 2,000 young aspiring artists through various free mentoring and performance opportunities.

We’re looking for a volunteer group of 10-20 people to help with beautification efforts at The Garage - an all ages music venue in Burnsville! Tidy our storage spaces indoors so we can more efficiently use our space. Duties and Responsibilities Tidy indoor storage spaces Haul trash to dumpster Organize AV equipment Sweep, dust and/or clean spaces as needed May include listing items for sale online Skills Required Ability to follow instructions from the Operations Manager Ability to lift 30 lbs for some duties may be needed Training All training, tools and supplies will be provided Bring your own gloves if you have them! If not, they will be provided for you Time Commitment: Flexible one-time session, either 9am-1pm or 12-5pm, Monday - Friday Benefits Pizza lunch provided for all volunteers in your group! Help make concerts happen! The Garage seeks excited volunteers to help keep our shows safe and fun. This position is great for an individual or a small group (3 people)! Duties and Responsibilities Side Stage station - For shows in the main room, sit by the door to the Green Room (for performers only). Observe the audience to help keep a safe space. (plus you get a great view of the show!) Outside station - Provide security outdoors, and ensure there is no alcohol and/or drugs on the premises. Skills Required Confidence to uphold policies Attention to detail Communication skills Kind and courteous customer service Training Training will be provided by Manager on Duty Time Commitment: Shows are typically 3-5hr time commitments in the evenings.
