OVERVIEW The J Healthcare Initiative, a globally renowned non-profit organization, is actively seeking passionate, committed, and driven students for our College Chapter program. As a volunteer, you will have a unique opportunity to support the J Healthcare Initiative's mission to stop the toxic drug crisis by empowering drug users' healthcare choices. We want the policy to be evidence-based. Facilitate free harm-reduction workshops to educate the campus community about health and wellness. 2. Advocate for full spectrum harm-reduction and promote the J healthcare Initiative at your institution. 3. Organize fundraising events to raise critical funds and awareness for harm reduction and individualized treatment options. Facilitate educational workshops to raise awareness about the benefits of legal-prescription access to regulated opioids and stimulants. Advocate for full-spectrum harm reduction and promote the J Healthcare Initiative's mission at your institution. Organize events to raise critical funds and awareness for expanded access to safe, regulated drugs and individualized treatment options. The J Healthcare Initiative is seeking a passionate and dedicated volunteer to serve as our Scientific Officer. This crucial role will help drive our mission of empowering drug users' healthcare decisions through evidence-based advocacy, research, and policy reform. Key Responsibilities: Lead and oversee community-based and non-community based research projects on emerging adulterants and substance use patterns in Canada Develop and implement rigorous research methodologies to ensure the quality and credibility of our studies. Analyze complex data sets and synthesize findings into clear, actionable insights to inform our advocacy efforts and policy recommendations. Collaborate with vice presidents, research team, peer advisory board and CEO to design and conduct relevant research projects. Edit scientific reports, policy briefs, and educational materials for various audiences, including government officials, healthcare professionals, and the general public. Represent the J Healthcare Initiative at scientific conferences, UN sessions, and other relevant forums to present our research findings and advocate for evidence-based drug policies. Provide scientific guidance and expertise to support our harm reduction initiatives, including training programs on compassionate overdose response and trip-sitting. Stay current with the latest developments in substance use research, harm reduction practices, treatment options, and global drug policy trends. Support university chapter directors and peers in conducting research and translating scientific knowledge into practical applications Qualifications: Advanced degree (PhD or MD or MD PhD preferred) in a relevant field such as public health, pharmacology, neuroscience, or addiction medicine Familiarity with submitting research proposals to Ethics Board and following regulations. Demonstrated experience in conducting and publishing scientific research related to substance use and public health in Canada Strong understanding of harm reduction principles and evidence-based approaches to drug policy Excellent analytical and data interpretation skills Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities Experience in grant writing and securing research funding (preferred) Ability to work collaboratively with different teams Passion for advancing the rights and health of people who use drugs

Overview The J Healthcare Initiative is a non-profit organization on a mission to save lives and end the overdose crisis. As a Proposal Development Specialist, you will play a vital role in our fight to end drug poisoning deaths. You will be responsible for researching and writing grant proposals to secure funding for our life-saving programs and services.
