Thank you for your interest in joining our non-profit. Volunteer Coordinator Fostering Wishes is growing and so is our volunteer base. We are looking for an experienced volunteer to assist with new volunteer placement and retention. Overview of position: Onboard and welcome new volunteers, ensuring they are aware of their responsibilities Regularly check in with volunteers Maintain positive relationships with new and current volunteers Additionally, this position may be required to collaborate with other Fostering Wishes volunteers, such as the Volunteer Director, to ensure that volunteers are informed and well-placed Previous experience with volunteer management Familiarity with Google Suite (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.) is a plus Time commitment: The ideal volunteer will be available to not only meet the time commitments outlined below but will also communicate, without hesitation, if the scope of work exceeds the estimated time allotted. Open and honest communication will be essential to help us grow a successful and sustainable volunteer team and resources we need. Estimated time commitment: 5-10 hours/week depending on current opportunities, including monthly meetings and updating information on our Google Workspace. We are looking for an experienced volunteer to assist with the management of all Fostering Wishes programs. Overview of position: Manage all Fostering Wishes's programs: Holiday Drive, Duffle Bags, resource guides, high school outreach, etc Create and plan future programs Additionally, this position may be required to collaborate with other Fostering Wishes volunteers to ensure that operation efforts are aligned with the organization's overall goals and messaging Previous experience with management Familiarity with Google Suite (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.) is a plus Time commitment: The ideal volunteer will be available to not only meet the time commitments outlined below but will also communicate, without hesitation, if the scope of work exceeds the estimated time allotted. Job Title: Event Coordinator Description: The Event Coordinator oversees the logistics, technological aspects, and seamless execution of our events. As the Event Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning and managing various Fostering Wishes events. The ideal candidate will have exceptional project management and communication skills, a heart for client support and satisfaction, and embrace our core values. We currently have an average of 5-6 small events per year. Many of the events are connected to our fundraising efforts. Overview: Work with the Fostering Wishes Volunteer Coordinator to assemble a team of volunteers to plan and execute all logistics around events. Provide updates at Core Team meetings. Familiarity with Google Suite (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.) is a plus Oversee the event onsite, including both event day and set-up the day prior to the event. Act as liaison to provide information, answer questions, and coordinate volunteer needs. Have previous event planning experience (recommended but not required), Post-event duties: Send thank you notes to sponsors and partners Participate in a post-event wrap-up The ideal volunteer will be willing to not only meet the required time commitments outlined below but will also communicate, without hesitation, if the scope of work exceeds the estimated time allotted.
