Mission Statement
It is through the sharing of facilities, equipment, risk, food, meals, and supplies that retirement becomes much more affordable and sustainable. We develop mixed-use facilities in vital urban village settings and include entrepreneurial supports so our member beneficiaries can collaborate to share resources and responsibilities, live, create, and thrive.
Description
Austin area Baby Boomers, other seniors, and Gen X-ers all seek a new kind of affordable senior housing when they think about retirement. And they often think about shared housing options.
At Boomers Collaborative Foundation, we have devised an entirely new approach to retirement to holistically and comprehensively address all of these needs and drivers. We are planning a mixed-use facility in a viable urban village setting where seniors can collaborate to share resources, co-live in a senior housing cooperative, and co-work (if they want or need to continue) to work in a multi-functional collaboration space so that all member beneficiaries may thrive.
