Description
Raleigh Junior Rollers is junior flat track roller derby program that began in 2015 in Raleigh, NC. We are a gender-inclusive program for kids aged 8-17. Our organization is 100% run by volunteers.
Our program offers an opportunity for all participants to develop the skills and knowledge to play this fast paced contact sport safely. We host all levels of game play on game days from beginner (level 1, no contact) to advanced (level 3, full contact) as it is important that everyone is included.
One of our goals is to grow the sport of youth roller derby in our area not only by increasing the numbers of our player participants, but by training and supporting the many volunteers that it takes for game days to happen. All positions, from officials to announcers and scoreboard operators are volunteer positions.
Raleigh Junior Rollers is a member league of the Junior Roller Derby Association (JRDA) and currently participates in open division gameplay at the national level.
