Mission Statement

Combating nutrition and food insecurity in Arkansas with healthy food access and education.

Description

Well Fed began late 2020 with one goal in mind, end nutrition and food insecurity in Arkansas. We do this by taking our services directly into food insecure communities.

After working for years in food insecure communities, our executive director, Josh Harris, saw a gap in nutritious food and consistent nutrition education access.

We provide direct access to healthy foods and nutrition and health education for families, elderly, and people with disabilities experiencing nutrition and food insecurity. Our innovative mobile food markets and educational programs work on long-term, sustainable solutions to eliminate food insecurity one community at a time! We believe that every man, woman, and child has the right to the opportunity to eat and live healthily.

We have two types of programs where you can help:

  1. Mobile market programs - Volunteers help set up a mobile pop-up market where we provide fresh food and nutrition education to our participants for free!
  2. Food box programs - Volunteers box 1,000+ lbs. of fresh food at our warehouse location so we can deliver it to communities in need.

We are always expanding our programs to work with more food insecure communities so there will always be an opportunity for you to help. Check out our Sign Up Genius to sign up today!
